TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) A request for a motocross track that got a lot of community attention will not be built in Tecumseh.
Shawnee County Commissioners voted 2-1 Thursday morning against event coordinator Perry Keegan's request for a permit.
It would've allow him to hold up to five motorized events and ten non-motorized events a year.
The issue was put to a vote after a neighbor started a protest petition.
Mary Thomas and Ted Ensley voted "no" while Shelly Buhler voted to approve the permit.
