TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A former Shawnee County employee will get more than $27,000 as part of a settlement in a sexual discrimination lawsuit.
Shawnee County Commissioners approved the settlement with Kristy Workman Thursday morning.
She filed the lawsuit in May, stating she was retaliated against with bad work reviews because she complained of discrimination.
Workman had been an employee of the county since 1987.
She was asking for at least $75,000 in damages on four separate counts.
Commissioners all agreed to settle for $27,500.
