TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Voters in Cloud County have rejected a proposed sales tax for a new hospital.
The increase would have provided about half of the 30 million dollars needed for a new facility in Concordia. 1,699 people voted against the sales tax increase,1,387 were for it. A margin of 312 votes.
Cloud County Health Center CEO Jim Wahlmeier says hospital officials will continue to look for ways to pay for the project.
