TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A resurfacing project with have access lanes and interchange ramps closing at the Hwy. 24 and K4/Oakland Expressway interchange.
The Kansas Dept. of Transportation released a list Wednesday of which ramps will close one. At least one ramp for northbound/eastbound and southbound/westbound will remain open at all times.
The closures will be as follows:
Thursday, September 6, 8:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
Southbound (westbound) K-4 to eastbound US-24 entrance ramp
Northbound (eastbound) K-4 to eastbound US-24 entrance ramp
Westbound US-24 to northbound (eastbound) K-4 exit ramp
Friday, September 7, 8:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
Northbound (eastbound) K-4 to westbound US-24 entrance ramp
Eastbound US-24 to southbound (westbound) K-4 exit ramp
Monday, September 10, 8:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
Eastbound US-24 to northbound (eastbound) K-4 exit ramp
Westbound US-24 to southbound (westbound) K-4 exit ramp
Southbound (westbound) K-4 to westbound US-24 entrance ramp
KDOT says drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.
This part of the project work is scheduled to be completed by early evening Monday, September 10, weather permitting.
