(WIBW) - Two Clay Center residents pleaded no contest to Medicaid fraud and theft charges.
49-year old April Hockett pleaded no contest to making a false claim to the Medicaid program and theft. 53-year old Donald Peterson pleaded no contest to conspiring to commit unlawful acts and to commit theft.
Prosecutors say the pair sent in personal care attendant timesheets for services that were not actually performed.
As part of a plea agreement, Hockett and Peterson will pay $26,418.31 to the Kansas Medicaid program. Sentencing is set for June 5th.
