CLAY CENTER, Kan. (WIBW) - Clay Center citizens will soon have a new swimming pool.
The Clay Center Dispatch Online reports voters Tuesday approved a 0.5% sales tax.
Money from the tax will be used to fund a new swimming pool, to replace the pool which officials say is deteriorating.
The new pool that is expected to be finished by May 2015.
Officials say the old pool nearly 80 years old and has water leaks, and the facility and baby pool don't meet current standards.
