TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Shawnee County Sheriff's office civil process server's knock on a door ended in a run-in with a dog.
It happened Tuesday at a home in the 200 block of SE 17th Street.
Authorities say the employee knocked on the door and a child opened it, letting out two dogs that began circling the official. A presa canario - german shepherd mix bit the employee on the right arm. The injury was not considered life threatening.
The dog was captured. It will be quarantined for 10 days.
The city's Animal Control division is investigating the incident.
