TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The City of Topeka revealed the names Thursday of its two finalists to be the next city manager.
Jim Colson is the deputy city manager of Glendale, Arizona and Margie Rose is the assistant city manager of Corpus Christi, Texas. People can meet them from 6 to 7 pm Friday at the city's Holliday Building.
The City Council will interview Colson and Rose Saturday at the Law Enforcement Center.
The Council also selected a third finalist to be interviewed, but that candidate withdrew from consideration.
Interim city finance director Pam Simecka is currently serving as the interim city manager. She replaced Dan Stanley, who left at the beginning of June for family reasons. Stanley had been in the post since last July, when Norton Bonarparte left the city under a separation agreement.
