City Of Topeka Wants Community Input For Sales Tax Plan

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- City officials want your input on how to best utilize the county wide half cent sales tax.

The City of Topeka wants to hear what the community thinks at a town hall meeting Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. inside the Holiday building at 620 Madison.

Both city and Shawnee county leaders will be on hand to present information on the history of the tax and a list of future projects that the public can help prioritize.

The sales tax passed by vote in 2004 and will expire at the end of 2016.
