ROSSVILLE, Kan. (WIBW) - People in the Rossville area were able to check up on their health Friday.
The Citizen Band Potawatomi Nation held a Senior Support Network Health Fair at their community building in Rossville.
Various health care, home health and hospice organizations took part. Attendees could get free hearing screenings, blood pressure tests and blood sugar checks.
Joan Winters, a registered nurse and case manager for the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, said having all the services in one place is a big bonus. She says many of the elderly in the area don't drive, so having all the information at one location made it a lot easier for them to access and become informed.
This was the second year the tribe held the fair. Last year, it was limited to Native Americans, but, this year, anyone in the public could attend.
