Hearing Set For Topeka Church Leader Charged With Child Sex Crimes

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A preliminary hearing date is set for a former Topeka church leader charged with child sex crimes.

A January 3rd court date was set Wednesday for 20-year old Hugh Cranford.

Cranford faces two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and lewd fondling.

He was in training to be a pastor and was a youth minister at Faith Lutheran Church in Topeka.

Cranford is free on $250,000 bond.
