TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka middle schoolers drank in the impact of their lesson Wednesday.
Chase Middle School students carried gallons of water around their track. Their steps illustrated the difficult journeys children in developing countries take every day just to get clean water.
The students took pledges before the event to raise money for the group "H2O for life." The money they collect will help the organization build a water well for a school in Uganda.
People can donate to Chase Middle School's efforts at www.h2oforlifeschools.org.
