TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Many residents in the Oakland area woke up to broken car windows Friday morning.
Topeka Police say that by 9 a.m. they had taken nine reports of car windows either being smashed or shot out, and there may be more.
The majority of the parked cars were in the 1000 block of Northeast Windfield.
A witness says they noticed a gold colored vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic, with several teens inside driving away from the scene around 4:30 a.m. Friday.
