Car Strikes Pedestrian After Early Morning Argument

An early morning argument on Tuesday led to one person striking another with a car.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--An early morning argument Tuesday led to one person striking another with a car.

Topeka Police were called to the Kwik Shop at 1700 SW Topeka Blvd. just after 1:05 a.m.

Police discovered that an argument had occurred between several females in the parking lot. One of them got into a car and allegedly drove the car intentionally at three females, striking one of them.

After striking the victim, the car continued into the Kwik Shop building, causing approximately $2,000 in damage.

32-year-old Monica A. Johnson of Topeka was arrested a few hours later for aggravated battery, aggravated assault, child endangerment and criminal damage.

The victim of aggravated battery, 34-year-old Lanisha Blation was taken to a local hospital by AMR with non-life threatening injuries.

33-year-old Shanita Huggins and 31-year-old Domeka Conway were also victims of the aggravated assault.

A juvenile alleged to be in the car driven by Johnson was not injured. The Kwik Shop employee on duty was also not injured or a victim.
