MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Authorities are investigating several vehicle break-ins at Manhattan hotels after construction workers reported having tools stolen from their trucks while there on business.

Sometime between 7 PM on November 28th and 7 AM on November 29th, police say a vehicle burglary occurred at Comfort Suites, located on Hostetler Drive in Pottawatomie County.

An employee with Pocono Propane out of Richboro, Pennsylvania reported that $1100 worth of tools were taken from his construction truck tool box while parked in the hotel's parking lot.

Hand and power tools were taken from the unsecured tool box, police said.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office has issued an alert bulletin which indicates that during the month of November, there have been three such incidents at hotels and motels on the Pottawatomie County side of Manhattan.
