Businessman Throws Hat Into Insurance Commissioner Race

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- An Overland Park businessman is throwing his hat into the Kansas Insurance Commissioners race.

Dennis Anderson formally announced his candidacy. The Democrat says former Kansas First Lady Stacy Parkinson will serve as Honorary Chairwoman of his campaign.

Anderson runs A.D. Banker, which produces curriculum and courses for insurance agents and brokers seeking certification.

Current Commissioner Republican Sandy Praeger is retiring after this term. Beverly Gossage and Ken Selzer are seeking the GOP nomination in the race.
