Police ID Boy Pulled From Hotel Pool

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A young boy pulled from a hotel swimming pool Friday has died.

Topeka Police confirmed Wednesday that the child passed away. He was identified as Dalton Register, 12, from Fort Riley.

He was pulled, unresponsive last Friday night from the swimming pool at the Ramada West Hotel in Topeka.

People on the scene administered CPR until emergency responders arrived.

Jason Roberts, a representative with the 1st Infantry Division Public Affairs Office at Fort Riley confirmed that Dalton is the son of a Fort Riley soldier.

A private family ceremony will be held this week in Alabama.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Dalton's family at this time," Roberts said.
