TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The Better Business Bureau has joined the ranks of Target and Best Buy as another established brand being used to promote fake gift card scams.
People nationwide are receiving emails saying the BBB is giving away a $1000 visa gift cards.
The emails come from a variety of email addresses and contain different links.
The website you get asks for information such as your age, address and cell phone number.
The BBB says it may not necessarily be an attempt at identity theft, but a way to collect consumer data.
