Bank Marks Birthday By Giving To Zoo

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Capital City Bank is helping to bring the community together at the Topeka Zoo.

Bank President and CEO Bob Kobbeman presented the Topeka Zoo with a $25,000 check Thursday. The money will be used to transform the public area of the Discovering Apes building, providing a more seamless connection between the orangutan and gorilla areas.

The completed area will become the Treetop Conservation Center.

People from the Seaman School District were also at the zoo. Some students will take part in an internship to bring this project to life.

The donation was made in honor of the Capital City Bank's 120th birthday.
