TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- The United Way of Greater Topeka's year-round efforts in the community got a big boost.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas announced results of their fundraising campaign Tuesday. They presented the United Way a check for $223,630.49. The amount combines more than $188,000 in employee donations with a $35,000 contribution from the BCBS Foundation.
In addition to the Topeka campaign, BCBS employees in Salina, Wichita and Hutchinson contributed another $20,000 to United Ways in their communities.
