TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - After suffering a devastating loss from a fire last October, WestSide Stamp and Awards is celebrating a victory.
The company marked its grand re-opening Friday with a ribbon cutting at their completely renovated building, 2030 SW Fairlawn Rd.
A fire broke out last October in the production area of the business. It was believed to be caused by an electrical malfunction. The severe damage forced them to move to a temporary location near SW 22nd and gage.
Owner Barbara Butts said she's thankful the community stepped up to help during the difficult time...
"We just couldn't have done it without (community support)," she said. "I mean, it was just an impossible task, but if you have enough help, it's possible."
After the ribbon cutting, WestSide Stamp hosted an open house with food, drinks and prize drawings.
