Auburn-Washburn Honors National History Day Qualifiers

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Auburn-Washburn students 'schooled' their board of education Monday night.

The USD 437 Board recognized the districts' qualifiers for the National History Day competition with certificates.

Qualifying are seventh grader Avery Munns for her documentary on frontier freedom fighter Clarina Nichols; eighth grader Katherine Sittenauer for her web site on how Henry Ford revolutionized the auto industry; and sophomores Sydney Nelson and Moriyah Ramberg with a dramatic performance on the evolution of treatment for the mentally ill.

The students will compete at National History Day, to be held at the University of Maryland June 10th to 14th.
