SHAWNEE, Kan. (AP) _ Police in northeastern Kansas are searching
for a man who reportedly tried to kidnap a girl walking home from a
bus stop. The Shawnee Police Department says the 13-year-old girl
reported yesterday afternoon that a suspicious man driving a dark
SUV pulled up and asked for directions. Shawnee is located about 15
miles west of Kansas City, Missouri.
