(KNZA) - An Atchison County man is expected to face attempted murder charges for an attack that injured a woman and a three month old child.
KNZA Radio reports Horton Police and the Brown County Sheriff's Office were called Wednesday night to a home in Horton. Authorities say the woman was apparently attacked when she answered her front door.
KNZA reports the child was treated for a cut on her head. The woman was flown to KU Medical Center for injuries including broken bones.
24-year old Matthew Hermreck was arrested at his home in Lancaster, which is in Atchison County. He was being held at the Brown County jail.
