NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (WIBW) - A plane crash has killed four people including an Atchison business owner.
Mark Bottorff, who owned Bottorff Construction, died Friday when the plane he was flying crashed about 13 miles northeast of Maxwell, Nebraska.
The twin engine plane crashed while he was scouting a potential job site according to the Atchison Globe.
Radar and radio contact was lost shortly after takeoff from the North Platte, Nebraska airport around 3:45. Search crews were dispatched to the area immediately. The wreckage was found shortly after the search began.
The Nebraska State Patrol confirmed the others killed in the crash were 71-year-old Ken Babcock of Hiawatha, Kansas; 39-year-old Jason Drane of St. Joseph, Missouri, and 53-year-old Chris Nelsen, of York, Nebraska.
Bottorff Construction primarily does concrete work and was founded in 1982. They currently have over 50 employees.
