Teachers Trained To Watch For Signs Of Bullying

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- With a new school year comes new concerns about bullying. Seaman is one of many districts preparing.

The state now requires all teachers to go through anti-bully training. Seaman USD 345 teachers received a presentation on bullying at in-service Tuesday morning. The presentation looked at what bullying is and how to intervene.

The Kansas Children's Service League has also set up a new feature designed to combat bullying. There is a 24-hour hotline available. Phones are manned by professionals and trained volunteers. The hotline number is 1-800-children.
