TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__Skilled nursing home and assisted living residents showed off their talents Wednesday at the Blue Moose.
Residents had the chance to share their creative side in the first annual Creative Kansans Program.
Artists submitted work in the hopes that it would be published in the first Creative Kansans Calendar.
The first place winner will be showcased on the front cover followed by 12 finalists who will each be assigned a specific month inside the calendar. All other participants will be featured on the back cover.
The event was a fundraiser for a nurse scholarship fund to bring more people into the nursing field.
