TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - When the alarm sounded Tuesday afternoon, staff and students at Wanamaker Elementary practiced what to do if a warning sounded for real.
Before the drill, students learned what to do to stay safe.
"Go in a room without any glass or windows and put your hands over your neck and go against the wall," said student Collin Rausch.
"Get down on my legs...and cover my head," said student Piper Titsworth.
Students were also instructed to get into the hallways to avoid flying debris.
