TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Teachers at one high school took pies in their faces -- all for a great cause.
It was part of a fundraiser to help send 12 students from Wamego High School to the Dominican Republic to assist in a service project with impoverished citizens.
Students will live with families from the Dominican Republic,
completely immersing themselves in the language and the culture.
Teachers and local businesses are pitching in for the students to donate used laptops and purchase tablets for the humanitarian project.
The students are in Lotus Hazlett's Spanish class.
