TOPEKA, Kan. -- For the 7th consecutive year, sick and injured children throughout northeast Kansas are the focus of a three day radiothon. The Miracle Marathon for Kids radiothon is Thursday through Saturday, August 1-3, 2013. Personalities from Country Legends 106.9 will be broadcasting from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day from the North Topeka Walmart.
Northeast Kansans are invited to tune in to hear the stories of how the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals program at St. Francis Health continues to provide hope and healing to sick and injured children and their families.
Donations are being accepted at any Topeka Walmart. Children are especially encouraged to bring spare change to those locations to drop in Coinstar machines to be donated to CMN.
Last year's radiothon raised more than $100,000, and the event has brought in nearly $600,000 since it began. This year's fundraising total will be announced at 6 p.m. Saturday.
