TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -On July 2nd, Governor Brownback will launch Governor Brownback will launch the largest reorganization of state agencies in the history of Kansas, called Executive Re-Organization Order Number 41.
Lt. Governor Jeff Colyer, M.D., Aging Secretary Shawn Sullivan, SRS Secretary Phyllis Gilmore and KDHE Secretary Bob Moser, M.D. will be on hand to join the Governor with an official ribbon cutting event on the south side of the state house.
Under the ERO the Department on Aging will become the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services allowing there to be a one stop shop for long care services.
The Social and Rehabilitation Services will become the Department for Children and Families allowing the agency to further strengthen it's target focus on children and family services but also continue to administer adult protective services.
