TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A chain of neighborhood hardware stores has a new owner. Westlake Ace Hardware, a chain based in Lenexa, has been bought by Ace Hardware Corporation.
The transaction is valued at $88 million, the Kansas City Star reports. The Illinois company is now the sole owner of the Westlake stores, but will retain its existing management structure and its home office in Lenexa.
Westlake Chief Executive Officer George Smith says customers aren't likely to notice any changes.
