A Concordia Teen Receives A Distinguished Honor

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A Concordia teen has received a very distinguished honor.

Alyssa Champlin of Concordia was named the Distinguished Young Woman of Kansas. Champlin was awarded a $19,000 cash scholarship during a statewide scholarship program for high school girls held February 23rd at Blair Theatre in Belleville, Kansas.

She competed against 7 other high school senior girls. Champlin is the daughter of Corey and Angela champlin and is a senior at Concordia High School.
