The man accused of holding a Dover couple hostage in their home wants his trial moved out of Shawnee County.
Attorneys for Jesse Dimmick filed that motion Thursday.
Dimmick is set to stand trial May 17th on two counts of kidnapping for ransom and one count of theft.
On Wednesday, a judge denied Dimmick's request to limit media coverage of the trial and also denied the state's request to not allow testimony Dimmick was shot and wounded by police.
Dimmick was wanted in Colorado last September when he led authorities on a chase, got away then turned up the next morning at a Dover home.
