Topeka (WIBW) - Shawnee County Commissoners still have more questions before they give the go ahead for curbside recycling.
Commissioners told Shawnee County Refuse Director Steve Bolton during their meeting Monday that they'd still like to know more about how he plans to roll out a new curbside program.
Bolton says the department recently did a public survey on the idea and whether people would be willing to pay for the service. He says the research showed people liked the convenience of having their recycling picked up and sorted and most were willing to pay a $7.50 monthly feee for the service.
Bolton says even if curbside service were offered, the county would still have free drop off locations.
