Topeka (WIBW) - A man accused in a Topeka shooting death was convicted Wednesday of premeditated first degree murder.
A jury found 24-year old James Arthur Qualls guilty in the death of Joseph Beier, Junior.
The incident happened in July 2008 outside the Whiplash Bar and Grill at SE 21st and California in Topeka.
Qualls turned himself into authorities two weeks after the killing.
Sentencing is set for March 12th.
