Manhunt Just Ended In Osage County

Osage County, Kan. (WIBW) -- A manhunt just ended in Osage County. The suspect is now in custody. Osage County authorities will not release the location of the arrest or the man's name.

According to authorities, a suspect led them on a chase, crashed the vehicle he was driving, and then ran from them.

The situation began unfolding just before 8 p.m. last night.

The Osage County Sheriff's Office says the search was focused between 165th and 173rd Streets, and Paulen and Ratner Roads.

They aren't saying why the man was pursued.

Area residents say the car hit a tree and flipped. They say when authorities flipped the car back over, they found an open bottle of whiskey.

Residents also say the man suffered a head injury.
