A delivery truck going down an alley way, in the 500 block of Van Buren, clips a dumpster which sets off a chain reaction leading to a fire.
Once the truck clipped the dumpster, it rolled and slammed into the Liberty Building. At the same time, it hit a natural gas meter which broke open and a spark ignited the escaping gas.
Topeka Firefighters were able to put out the flame out and shut off the gas before the Liberty Building caught fire.
The Liberty Building and the SRS Building were both evacuated during the incident.
