Daniel Gilyeat Running For U.S. Congress

Marine Staff Sergeant Daniel Gilyeat picked Pearl Harbor Day to come to Topeka in order to have his name placed on the ballot for U.S. Congress for the 3rd district. He picked this day to honor the heroes of World War ll and mark the 68th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Gilyeat lost his leg in battle in Iraq 2005 and also received a Extreme Makeover House in 2007.

Currently Dennis Moore holds the seat for U.S. Congress in the 3rd district.
