A jury trial is set for a man accused in the shooting death of a Topeka man.

TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- A jury trial is set for a man accused in the shooting death of a Topeka man.

24-year-old James Qualls is charged in the July 16th shooting death of joseph beier junior.

Beier was shot at the Whiplash bar at 21st and California in Topeka.

Qualls turned himself into authorities 15 days after the killing.

A motion hearing is set for next Wednesday.

Jury trial will begin February 2nd.
