Man Charged In Connection With Taking Dover Couple Hostage

The man who allagedly broke into an Dover, Kansas couple's home and held them hostage for several hours has been charged with six crimes in connection with that September 12 incident.

Jesse Dennis Dimmick had been wanted in connection with a homicide in Colorado and had been the subjetct of a Geary County manhunt when he was chased by several agencies into Shawnee County and
allegedly broke into the Dover home of Lindsay and Jared Rowley.

With armed officers outside, the Rowley's escaped when Dimmick went to sleep.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor charged Dimmick with two counts of kidnapping; one count of theft; one count of battery; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia; and one count of aggravated robbery.

Dimmick may also face charges in connection with a Colorado homicide.
