Emporia (WIBW/KVOE) - Emporia police say a hotel shooting Tuesday night wasn't random, but a deliberate act.

Emporia Police were called to the Rodeway Inn and Suites at 3181 West Highway 50 just after 8 pm Tuesday.

KVOE Radio reports officers found 25-year old Omar Grenado Flores, a former Emporia resident now living in Basehor, in a car, shot multiple times. He is reported at KU Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say they believe they know who the shooter was, but still ask anyone with information on what happened to call Lyon County Crime Stoppers at 620-343-4200. They did not release details on what circumstances might have led to the shooting.
