School Putting New Building To Use

Topeka (WIBW) - Heritage Christian students are putting their new school building to use.

Volleyball players from around the area descended on the school to sharpen their skills in the first of a month-long series of athletic camps.

The week-long camps are designed to keep the kids active during the summer months.

Head volleyball coach Debbie Friesen led the players through the serves, sets and spikes.

After Friday, the nets give way to hoops as volleyball camp gives way to basketball camps hosted by coach Adam Runyan.

The boys camps runs from the 6th through the 10th. A girls camp will be held the following week. A competitive high school boys camp will also be held the week of the 13th. There is a $50 fee. For further information or to register, call the school at 785-286-0427.
