Topeka, KS -- Topeka-area residents are reacting to having their electricity restored. About 1,200 homes lost power for about two hours on Tuesday.
It happened near Wanamaker and 30th.
We’re told the weather may have caused equipment to fail.
Residents were pleased with Westar’s response restoring electricity to the area.
“I think they did a great job. I’m not sure what the problem was, but I think they responded very well,” said Chester Sliski.
Virginia Brewer says the power outage didn’t have a huge impact on her.
“We have our little two-year-old grandson, so he likes to play outside. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead of hot lunch,” said Brewer.
