TOPEKA, Kan. - A Jackson County EMT finds herself on the receiving end of a good deed Saturday.
A charity poker ride was held for Becky Johnson Saturday starting at 10 a.m. from Topeka Harley Davidson at 21st and Topeka Boulevard.
Becky has been a long-time caregiver at Stormont Vail Hospital and an EMT with the Jackson County Ambulance Service.
She has survived surgery and treatment for breast cancer, but unfortunately it has returned. She is now in ICU at a local hospital.
After the charity ride, the fundraiser continued at American Legion Post 400 with a luncheon and a raffle. A total of $1,300 was raised from the charity poker ride.
