A prescription drug theft, a vehicle burglary and a drug case are keeping Pottawatomie County authorities busy.

The sheriff's office says someone broke into the Hoffman Pharmacy in Westmoreland sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning. They say the person got in through the rear of the building and stole hydrocodone tablets.

In a separate case, someone stole a vehicle from 3863 Pecan Drive in St. George between 5 and 6:45 am Tuesday. The loss included $9,000 worth of horse riding equipment and accessories. Among items taken was a Billy Cook show saddle, saddle pads, show halter, native Arabian horse costume and digital camera.

Anyone with information on the thefts should call the Pottawatomie Co. Sheriff's Office at 785-457-3353.

A search warrant Tuesday morning at a Wamego home led to a drug arrest.

The Sheriff's Office, Wamego Police and the Riley Co. Police K-9 served the warrant at 4660 Highway 99. 39-year old Troy Straub is being held on charges including drug possession and criminal possession of a firearm.
