In the capital city, faithgoers had a peaceful gathering outside of the Statehouse.
Prayer minister Earl Pickard said the group was comprised of citizens from Kansas who desire to come and pray and "ask the Lord to give us wisdom and knowledge of understanding of how to bring forth His purpose, His plans for America."
