LIBERTY, Mo. (AP) _ A missing northern Kansas City mother's family is offering a $25,000 reward for anyone with information leading authorities to locate her.

The Kansas City Star reports on its Web site that Rick Pretz, the father of Renee Pernice, announced the reward Tuesday outside the Clay County Courthouse in the Kansas City suburb of Liberty.

The 35-year-old Pernice, the mother of two boys, has not been seen since Jan. 2. Police suspect foul play and are treating her case as a death investigation.

Her husband, Shon Pernice, remains a person of interest in the disappearance, but he has not been arrested or charged.

He does, however, face a felony charge in Clay County forallegedly stealing a neighbor's gun in an unrelated case. He has pleaded not guilty.
