We now know the name of the student found dead near a scholarship hall on the KU campus Friday morning.
Police have identified the young man as Dalton Eli Hawkins, an 18 year old freshman at KU.
Police say someone found Hawkins body near Watkins Scholarship Hall, a women's residence, around 8 a.m.
The KU campus alert advised students there was no imminent threat, as campus police investigated.
At 10:24, police were calling the death "unattended" and a college-aged male, with no signs of foul play.
A 13 News viewer called the newsroom and said his daughter was staying away from campus after the alert went out, but again, campus police say there is no danger.
Hawkins was a 2008 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High, a honors student, and a pre-pharmacy major.
