We're on your side with a warning about a scam that uses the Habitat for Humanity charity name.
This from the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin.
A person there applied and was accepted for a work-at-home job as a "Donations Coordinator" for Habitat for Humanity.
She was sent a check, which she was told was a donation and was asked to wire $350 to an official of the organization.
The check turned out to be counterfeit.
The BBB advises you to use caution when responding to work at home schemes.
Always contact the BBB to see if these type opportunities are legitimate or visit their website at www.bbb.org.
